Tom Allen Named AFCA National Football Coach of the Year
Indiana University Head Football Coach Tom Allen has been named the 2020 Werner Ladder AFCA Football Bowl Subdivision National Coach of the Year. He Joins Bo McMillin in 1945 and John Point in 1967 as the only head coaches in IU Football History to earn the award. Allen was Selected by a vote of the active AFCA members at FBS Schools. The Hoosiers finished with a 6-2 record and appearance in the Outback Bowl Losing to Ole Miss 26-22.  

Indiana Football adds Ole Miss Transfer Ryder Anderson to Roster 
Ryder Anderson who played against Indiana in the Outback Bowl has joined the Hoosiers for the 2021 Season as Graduate Transfer from Ole Miss. Anderson is a 6-6 275 LB Defensive Lineman from Katy Texas.  In the Bowl Game he had 1 sack and 2 tackles for loss with 3 stops overall and 1 hurry.  In his Career at Ole Miss Anderson has collected 99 tackles 38 solo 6.5 Sacks 15 stops for loss 17 quarterback hurries one forced fumble one pass breakup and one blocked punt in his career in which he had 14 Starts in 37 Games from 2017-2020. 

Indiana Football Finishes 12th in Final AP Football Poll 
The Indiana Football team finished the 2020 season ranked 12 in the final Associated Press Poll. The Hoosiers are ranked in the AP Poll for the first time since 1988 and it marks their highest finish since 1967 when they were ranked fourth. The Hoosiers have finished in the AP Poll 6 Times in School History. The Hoosiers have Finished 4th in 1945 and 1967. They were 19th in 1979 and Finished 20th in 1946 and 1988. The Hoosiers Finished 13th in the Coaches Poll 

Ball State Football Finishes 23rd in AP and Coaches Polls
For the first time at the FBS Level Ball State Football has Finished in the Top 25 Nationally. The Cardinals Finished 23rd in both the Associated Press and Coaches Polls. Ball State was last ranked in December 2008 when the Cardinals had undefeated regular season at 12-0 before losing in the MAC Championship Game to Buffalo and GMAC Bowl to Tulsa. The Cardinals finished with a 7-1 Record this season. They Won both the Mid American Conference Championship over Buffalo and West Division Championship. Ball State beat San Jose State 34-13 in the Arizona Bowl on New Years Eve to win the Programs first ever Bowl Win.
