Indiana Football Hoosiers hire new Defensive Coordinator
Georgia defensive backs coach Charlton Warren has been hired IU’s new Defensive Coordinator. Warren, who has spent the past couple of seasons as the Bulldog’s Defensive Backs Coach, helping to lead them as the 12th best ranked defense in the country, will replace Kane Wommack, who recently departed from Indiana to hire on as the head coach for South Alabama. Previously, Warren spent time on the coaching staff of the Florida Gators, North Carolina Tar Heels, Nebraska Cornhuskers, and the Tennessee Volunteers.
IU soon to offer free Covid-19 vaccinations
Indiana University has announced that they will open a free to the public vaccination site on their Bloomington Campus. Although the location is unknown and the opening date has yet to be determined, the University will be collaborating with the Indiana Department of Health on all of the specifics. In an issued statement, IU said that their proven efficiency through COVID-19 mitigation testing will help the states efforts in meeting the vaccination challenges. The Indiana State Police is now accepting applications for the 81st Recruit Academy.
Individuals who are interested in beginning a career as an Indiana State Trooper must apply online. Applicants must have a minimum of three continuous years of full time, paid, law enforcement experience (sworn or merit), having graduated from a state accredited police academy (entry level law enforcement basic training curriculum); in which, the essential job functions were performed at a satisfactory or above level, as documented by employee evaluations. Applicants also must be currently working as a law enforcement officer or may not have a lapse of employment as an officer of longer than three years prior to the application deadline, Sunday, January 24, 2021. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted for the 81st Recruit Academy.
