#8 IUWBB Beats Southern Illinois
The 8th ranked Indiana University Women’s Basketball team beat Southern Illinois 70-37 in front of 3,735 inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall Thursday afternoon in the final non-conference game of the season. The Hoosiers are 10-2 and have won 5 in a row. Indiana jumped out to 8-0 lead and never looked back. The Hoosiers led 38-8 at halftime and outscored SIU 32-29 in the 2nd half. Mackenize Holmes and Grace Berger scored 18 points each for IU while Nicole Cardano-Hillary added 11 points. Peyton Lancaster scored 10 points off the bench for Southern Illinois who fall to 5-5 on the season. Indiana leads the all-time series 13-3 and have won 5 straight in the series. The Hoosiers are back in action next Thursday at Rutgers at 8pm on Fox Sports 1.

Ball State Football faces Georgia State in the Cameilla Bowl
The Ball State Cardinals will be in the National Spotlight Christmas Afternoon at 2:30 PM on ESPN when they take on the Georgia State Panthers in the Cameilla Bowl at the Crampton Bowl in Montgomery Alabama. Ball State is 6-6 and makes their 2nd straight bowl appearance after they beat San Jose State in the Arizona Bowl December 31, 2020. The Cardinals are 1-8-1 all time in Bowl Games. Georgia State is 7-5 on the season and the Panthers are 2-1 in Bowl Games under head coach Shawn Elliott. This will be third all time between the two programs. Georgia State won 31-19 on October 17, 2015 in Muncie and Ball State won 31-21 September 2, 2016, in Muncie which was Mike Neu’s first game as Ball State Head Coach.

Indianapolis Colts travel to Arizona Cardinals for Christmas-night game
The Indianapolis Colts will play the Arizona Cardinals at 8:15 pm on NFL Network and WTTV/CBS4 in the Indianapolis market on Christmas Night. The Colts are 8-6 and after a 0-3 start to the season the Horseshoe have gone 8-3. Arizona is 10-4 on the year and have lost two in a row.

The Colts had 7 players named to the Pro Bowl while the Cardinals had 4. The dame is February 6th in Las Vegas. Running Back Johnathan Taylor, Center Ryan Kelly, Guard Quenton Nelson, Defensive Tackle DeForest Buckner, Linebacker Darius Leonard, Cornerback Kenny Moore II, and Long Snapper Luke Rhodes are the Colts Selections. Quarterback Kyler Murray, Running Back James Conner, Outside Linebacker Chandler Jones, and Strong Stafey Budda Baker are the Cardinals Selections.

Bloomington North Boys Basketball splits pair at Connersville Tournament
Bloomington North Boys Basketball beat South Decatur 75-47 and fell to Monroe Central 73-64 in the Championship Game of the Connersville Tournament Thursday Evening. Monroe Central beat Connersville the Number 1 team in Class 3A 48-41 and then Connersville beat South Decatur 75-49 in the 3rd place game. Bloomington North is 6-2 and plays Whiteland at 11:45am on Tuesday in the Bedford North Lawrence Tournament. Owen Valley and Bedford North Lawrence will play game 1 at 10am. The Consolation Game is 6om and Championship Game is 7:45pm Tuesday Evening.
