Indiana Men’s Basketball falls at Ohio State in overtime
Indiana Men’s Basketball lost at Ohio State 80-69 in overtime Monday Night in Columbus. The Hoosiers have lost 5 in a row falling to 16-10 overall and 7-9 in the Big Ten. Xavier Johnson led the Hoosiers with 16 Points, Race Thompson and Trayce Jackson-Davis both scored 13 points and pulled down 9 rebounds. Parker Stewart had 11 points. Indiana shot 19-27 from the free throw line for 70%.  Ohio State led 33-28 at half. Indiana outscored the Buckeyes 35-30 in the 2nd half to send the game to overtime tied at 63. Ohio State controlled the extra session outscoring the Hoosiers 17-6.

Ohio State Improves to 17-7 overall and 10-5 in the Big Ten. Malakai Branham scored 27 points. E.J Liddell added 16 points and Eugene Brown III added 10 points. Former Indiana Hoosier Joey Brunk did not play in this game for the Buckeyes. Ohio State was 22-28 from the free throw line for 78%. Indiana will return to action on Thursday night at 7pm when they host Maryland

Indiana Women’s Basketball falls at Iowa
For the 2nd time in 3 days Indiana Women’s Basketball came up short losing at Iowa 88-82 Monday Night in Iowa City Iowa. The Hoosiers lost 96-91 Saturday afternoon at home to the Hawkeyes. Grace Berger led the Hoosiers with 22 Points, Nicole Cardano-Hillary added 15 points, Mackenzie Holmes added 13 points. Ali Patberg and Chloe Moore McNeil finished with 11 points each. Aleska Gulbe scored 6 points, Kiandra Browne scored 4 points and Grace Waggoner did not score in 2 minutes of action. Iowa improves to 18-7 overall and 12-4 in the Big Ten. Monika Czinano had 31 points and 10 rebounds to led the Hawkeyes. Caitlin Clark had 28 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists. McKenna Warnock added 16 points.

Indiana falls to 19-6 on the season and 11-4 in the Big Ten and will close out the regular season Friday night at Maryland

Boys basketball state tournament draw announced
Parings for the IHSAA Boys Basketball State tournament were announced Sunday evening in Indianapolis. The Sectionals start March 1st and go through March 5th. In Class 4A at Martinsville Bloomington North 17-3 will face Columbus East 7-13 at 6 pm Tuesday night. The winner faces Columbus North 15-7 Friday Night at 6pm in the first semifinal. Bloomington South 15-7 faces Martinsville 7-15 in the second game Tuesday Night at 7:30pm. The winner faces East Central 14-6 in the 2nd semifinal Friday Night at 7:30pm and the Championship game is Saturday at 7:30pm.

In Class 3A the Hosts Edgewood 10-12 will kick off the sectional Tuesday night at 7 pm taking on South Vermillion 11-11. The winner will face Brownstown 19-3 in the first semifinal on Friday at 6 pm. On Wednesday West Vigo 13-10 will take on Northview 14-8 at 6 pm followed by Owen Valley 8-10 against Brown County 2-17 at 7:30pm. The winners will meet in the second semifinal Friday Night at 7:30 pm with the Championship game Saturday night at 7:30pm.

In Class 1A at White River Valley Lighthouse Christian 14-8 will take on North Central (Farmersburg) 12-8 at 7:30 pm Wednesday Night. White River Valley 4-15 will take on Clay City 8-12 at 6 pm Wednesday Night with the winners meeting the 2nd semifinal Friday Night at 7:30 pm.  Bloomfield 17-4 will take on Shakamak 12-9 at 7pm Tuesday Night with the winner facing Eminence 0-17 in the semifinal at 6pm Friday Night. The Championship Game is Saturday at 7:30pm.

All four Monroe County Teams are in action this evening with Edgewood hosting Bloomington North and Bloomington South hosting Bloomfield with both games scheduled for 7:30om. Lighthouse Christian travels to Brown County for a 6 pm matchup.

Indiana Baseball postpones game at Miami Ohio
The Indiana baseball program will have to reschedule its first midweek contest of the season, as the game originally scheduled for this afternoon at Miami (Ohio) will not be played due to forecasted rain in the region. The two teams will look to reschedule at a later date. Indiana will now turn its attention to the Karbach Round Rock Classic at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas. The Hoosiers will kick off the event at 8pm against #2 Arkansas. The game will be available on the Indian Hoosiers Radio Network via IUHoosiers.com and on FloBaseball, a subscription-based web streaming service.
