A Statewide Silver Alert has been declared

The Linton Police Department is investigating the disappearance of Kendra Odle, a 50 year old white female, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 200 pounds, brown hair with brown eyes, last seen wearing a maroon sweatshirt or a red and black flannel shirt.

Kendra is missing from Linton, Indiana which is 85 miles southwest of Indianapolis and was last seen on April 23, 2022 at 12:30 am.  She is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.

Local Contested Primary Results

Indiana Primary results for contested races for Monroe County. These are preliminary results as released by the Monroe County Election Division as of 11:59pm Tuesday evening. Some races were close enough for a recount to be declared, particularly the race for Monroe County Recorder, which was separated by a total of 40 votes. A full list of Geberal Election match-ups will be published once the electionbs results are filed with the State of Indiana.

1914 – Indiana Governor Samuel Ralston proclaimed the second Sunday of May to be Mothers’ Day, following the national observance announced by President Woodrow Wilson. In his proclamation, the Governor said, “A mother makes sacrifices that none other would make. . . she is the dominant factor of the home and the strength of the nation. Her love is the philosophy that shapes the destiny of men.”
