Ivy Tech Community College supporting Veterans with special statewide event, TODAY
Ivy Tech Community College is hosting a special Tuesdays@TheTech event on Tuesday, November 8 to support the state’s veteran population. This free event allows veterans and their families to receive personalized guidance with enrolling at Ivy Tech, as well as a chance to win custom Ivy Tech swag.
Indiana is home to over 300,000 veterans, with approximately 4,000 of those veterans below the age of 25. With over 70 programs, access to career coaches, flexible course options designed to meet the needs of any schedule and more, Ivy Tech is committed to elevating veterans across the state with an education that translates into a high-wage, high-demand career.

The Latest Edition of the Indiana State Police Road Show
Indiana – Catch the latest edition of the “Indiana State Police Road Show” radio program on the Indiana State Police YouTube Channel. This weeks show features Sergeant Jeremy Piers and Indiana State Police Intern Alan Darwactor. The radio program was titled “Signal-10” in the early 1960’s when it was first started by two troopers in northern Indiana. The name was later changed to the “Indiana State Police Road Show” and is the longest continuously aired state police public service program in Indiana.
This Week in Hoosier History

1816 – The Indiana General Assembly, preparing for statehood, elected the state’s first two United States Senators. They chose James Noble, an attorney and circuit judge from Brookville, and Waller Taylor, a territorial judge from Vincennes. Both men served in the Senate until their deaths, Waller in 1826 and Noble in 1831. (Pictured: James Noble, Indiana’s 1st US Senator)
