Hall sworn in as new State Representative for House District 62
Dave Hall of Norman took the oath of office to serve as State Representative for House District 62. Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush administered the oath to all House lawmakers during a swearing-in ceremony in the House Chamber of the Statehouse during Organization Day, the formal start to the 2023 legislative session.

Hall edged out Monroe County Commissioner Penny Githens by what was reported by Election Officials, as 37 votes. Democrat officials in the area had been encouraging provisional ballot voters to step forward prior to the Indiana deadline of November 18th, to validate their votes, in hopes to tilt the scales in the other direction.

Born and raised in Southern Indiana, Hall is a graduate of Brownstown Central High School. He owns a small business, Dave Hall Crop Insurance, and is a corn and soybean farmer along with his dad. Hall is a member of the Jackson County REMC Board of Directors and serves as a Special Deputy with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department. He is a past president of the Jackson County Council and has served on the Jackson County Redevelopment Commission and Jackson County Industrial Development Corporation. He has also served on the Owen Township Advisory Board, Emergency Management Board and Ambulance Board. Hall and his wife, Bradie, were married in 2006 and built their home on her family farm in Norman. They have three daughters, twins Hayden and Sydney, and Gabby. Constituents can contact Hall by calling 800-382-9841 or 317-232-9600 and emailing h62@iga.in.gov.
