Indiana Women’s Basketball Takes on Top Ranked NC State in Sweet 16

Indiana Women’s Basketball will face top ranked NC State at 6 PM Saturday in the Mercado Region Semifinal at NCAA Tournament at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio Texas. The Game will be on ESPN2. The Winner will Advance to the Elite 8 on Monday Night will face the winner of 3 seed Arizona and 2 Seed Texas A&M. The Hoosiers are in the Sweet 16 for the first time in school History with wins over 13 Seed VCU and 12 Seed Belmont. Indiana Assistant Coach Ashley Williams played for NC State from 2013-2017 and is Cary North Carolina Native and played under NC State head Coach Wes Moore. The Wolfpack are 22-2 this season and 16 seed North Carolina A&T and 8 seed South Florida to get to the Sweet 16. 

Indiana Men’s Basketball Freshman Jordan Geronimo Enters Transfer Portal

Indiana Men’s Basketball Freshman Jordan Geronimo becomes the 4th player in 3 days and the 5th overall to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal.  The Newark New Jersey Native played in 21 games played 169 minutes scored 47 points for 2.2 points per game average. He had 37 rebounds, 5 assists, 10 turnovers, 2 blocks and 6 steals. He played his High School Ball at St Paul’s School in New Hampshire and was considered the most athletic player coming into Indiana.  He Joins Al Durham, Race Thompson, Armaan Franklin and Parker Stewart that have put their names into the transfer portal. They can talk to other schools but have the option to return to Indiana if they chose.  

Indiana Men’s Swimming in 7th Place after Day 2 of NCAA Championships

Indiana Men’s Swimming is in 7th place with 84 points after Day 2 of NCAA Championships in Greensboro North Carolina. The Hoosiers Finished 9th in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay. Junior Jack Franzman finished 12th in the 50 Yard Freestyle. Junior Andrew Capobianco finished 4th in the 1 Meter Diving. The 400-yard Medley Relay team finished 5th.  Day 3 will start at 10 am this morning with prelims and finals will begin at 6 PM  

Indiana Women’s Soccer Loses to Ohio State 2-0

Indiana Women’s Soccer Lost at Ohio State 2-0 Thursday afternoon. The Buckeyes scored with a goal from Peyton McNamara at the 9:06 mark and added the second at the 78:36 mark with one from Emma Sears.  Ohio State is 4-1-3 on the season while Indiana falls to 4-4. The Hoosiers will be back in action this Sunday at Michigan for a 3 PM kick on the Big Ten Network.
