Indiana Football Will Not Have 2021 Spring Game
Indiana University Football Announced no Spring Football game for 2021. Head Coach Tom Allen announced the team will have a closed scrimmage Saturday April 10th at Memorial Stadium during its final spring practice. Indiana did not have a spring game and most of spring practices were canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Indiana also had practice canceled last week due to COVID-19 concerns. The Hoosiers were back on the field over the weekend and intend to close out their remaining slate of practices and make up for the ones they missed.
Indiana Volleyball Games with Ohio State Canceled
Indiana and Ohio State’s Volleyball Games scheduled for this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon at Wilkinson Hall in Bloomington have been canceled due to COVID Concerns within the Hoosiers Program. The Games were scheduled to be played at 4 pm both days and was the regular season finale for both programs. The Hoosiers are 3-15 on the season and had two scheduled matchups against Northwestern March 20and 21st postponed due to COVID Concerns within the Wildcats program. It is unclear if the Northwestern will be made up.
Ohio State and Bloomington North Graduate Musa Jallow To Enter Transfer Portal
Ohio State Redshirt Junior guard and Bloomington North Graduate Musa Jallow announced he will enter the transfer portal. Jallow Graduated a year early from Bloomington North in the summer of 2017. Jallow in High School played in 67 games for the Cougars and scored 1,027 Points for a 15.3 points per game average. In College Jallow averaged 2.8 points, 2.2 rebounds 0.7 assists in 94 career games including 28 starts with the Buckeyes. He will have 2 years left after the NCAA gave all athletes an extra year due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Four State Boys Basketball Champions to Be Crowned Saturday
Four Boys State Basketball State Champions will be crowned with the IHSAA Boys State Finals at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis tomorrow. In Class 1A Kouts 29-2 takes on Barr-Reeve 28-2 at 10 am. In Class 2A Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian 27-3 takes on Parke Heritage 27-3 at 1 pm. Class 3A Leo 24-4 takes on Silver Creek 24-4 at 5 pm. In Class 4A Carmel 25-2 takes on Lawrence North 28-2. 2022 Indiana Committ CJ Gunn Leads the Wildcats in Scoring at 13.8 and says he remains committed to the Hoosiers after the hiring on new coach Mike Woodson last Monday. All Four Games will be on the rebranded Bally Sports Indiana and Bally Sports Indiana Plus. Bally Sports officially took over from Fox Sports Wednesday Night on the nameing rights for the regional sports networks.
