Indiana Men’s Basketball Names Former Player Dane Fife as Assistant Coach

Former IU Men’s Basketball Player Dane Fife is coming back to Bloomington to join the Men’s Basketball Team as assistant coach under new head coach Mike Woodson. Fife played for the Hoosiers from 1998-2002. He helped the Hoosiers to the 2002 National Title Game where they lost to Maryland and a share of the Big Ten Championship that season. Fife was named Co-Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year as a Senior. He is career leader at IU with 180 steals. His 53 steals in his senior year are the 8th best program history. He hit 99 career three pointers which ranks in the top 20 in school history. Fife played 131 games which is sixth best in school history and his 37 games started his senior year is single season record for most games started. Fife was on Tom Izzo’s Staff at Michigan State for the last 10 seasons with the last three as associate head coach. Fife was the Head Coach at IPFW from 2005-11 and was 85-97. He was McDonalds All American out of Clarkston Michigan in 1998 and was on staff of Mike Davis after he graduated from 2003-05 and has a Master’s Degree from IU along with his undergraduate degree.    

Indiana Men’s Basketball Players Khristian Lander and Jordan Geronimo to Return to the Team

New Indiana Men’s Basketball Coach Mike Woodson has gotten three of his new players out of the transfer portal with Sophomores to Be Khristian Lander and Jordan Geronimo to return for next season. Lander who graduated a year ahead of schedule from Evansville Reitz played in 26 games, 55 points for a 2.1 points per game averaged. Lander had 21 rebounds 30 assists, 9 steals and four blocks. Geronimo from Newark New Jersey played his high school ball in New Hampshire played in 21 games, scored 47 points for a 2.2 points per game average. Geronimo pulled down 37 rebounds, 6 steals, 5 assists and 2 blocks. IU is still waiting from decisions from Redshirt Junior Race Thompson and Sophomore Armaan Franklin on weather to stay in the transfer portal or return to IU.   

Indiana Women’s Golf Finishes 5th at Indiana Spring Challenge

Indiana Women’s Golf Finished 5th at Indiana Spring Challenge at Covered Bridge Golf Course in Sellersburg Indiana. The Hoosiers shot a 912 in three rounds which was 48 over par. Michigan State won with a team score of 849 15 under par. Norte Dame was 2nd with 881 team score 17 over par. Minnesota was 3rd with an 886 team score 22 over par and Wisconsin was 4th with a 892 team score 28 over par. Senior Angela Aung tied for 9th with 222 total score for 6 over par. The Hoosiers will host the Indiana Invitational April 17-18th at the new Pfau Course on campus.
