WAWA stores now planned for Indiana
After years of receiving thousands of requests, WAWA has decided to expand into Indiana. The East Coast gas station chain also offers its own deli with custom-prepared sandwiches and hot breakfast sandwiches, along with a dinner menu featuring burgers, soups, sides, and snacks.
Noblesville will be the location of the first WAWA in the state, as their City Council unanimously approved a new %72 Million development to include the convenience store as well as a Crew Car Wash, bank and office space, restaurants, neighborhood retail space, residential space, and a public park.
Monroe County Commissioners removed Ashley Cranor from Monroe County Board of Health
Monroe County Commissioners replace longtime Board Member Ashley Craner with Sarah Ryterband. The vote was unanimous, with Penny Githens, Julie Thomas, and Lee Jones all voting in favor to remove Cranor, following a recommendation from Monroe County Attorney Jeff Cockerill.
According to Indiana Law, the Health Board is required to maintain two licensed physicians, for which they had only one, and Cranor is not a physician. Additionally, Cranor had missed more than the maximum number of required meetings last year, so her removal was imminent. Cranor served on the Health Board for 13 years. She also worked for the Monroe County Recorder’s Office for seven years and for the Board of Commissioners for three.

The City of Bloomington Engineering Department is inviting Bloomington residents and business owners to a public informational meeting for the B‐Line Trail Extension and Multiuse Path project. The meeting will be held at the Tri‐North Middle School Performance Center at 1000 W 15th Street on Wednesday, February 22, at 6pm. The project will extend the B‐Line Trail from its current western terminus at Adams Street to Fountain Drive, parallel to the existing railroad tracks. The intersection of Fountain Drive and Crescent Road will be realigned, and the multiuse path will continue on the east side of Crescent Road to 17th Street, tying into the existing multiuse path on the north side of 17th Street.
The purpose of this project informational meeting is to provide an update on the project design and construction schedule. Present at the meeting will be representatives from City of Bloomington Engineering, Aztec Engineering, and CrossRoad Engineers. Aztec is the engineering design firm, and CrossRoad will provide construction inspection support for the project.
