Former Northwestern Men’s Basketball Player Miller Kopp Transfers to Indiana

New Indiana Men’s Basketball Coach Mike Woodson has added Northwestern Transfer Miller Kopp to the 2021-22 roster. Kopp will have 2 years of eligibility at Indiana. He picked the Hoosiers over Oregon State, Texas A&M, Utah, USC, Creighton, South Carolina, New Mexico, Georgia Vanderbilt, Wichita State DePaul, Oklahoma State, and Xavier. Kopp is 6-7 and averaged 11.3 points and 3.1 rebounds for the Wildcats. Kopp hit 98 three pointers the last two seasons and hit 87% of his free throws. Northwestern used Kopp off screens but capable of operating out of the pick and roll and making jumpers and pulling up off the dribble.  At Indiana expect a more open floor and versatile style of play from the Houston Texas Native. Indiana has filled all 13 scholarships for next season after coach Woodson brought in 2 transfers and two incoming freshmen after losing 3 to the transfer portal.

Michigan State Beats Indiana Field Hockey 4-2 in Big Ten Tournament

Michigan State ended the Indiana Field Hockey Season with 4-2 win over the Hoosiers in the Opening Round of the Big Ten Tournament in Iowa City Tuesday Afternoon. The Hoosiers scored at the 37:21 mark with a goal by Kennedy Reardon and the 51:54 mark with a goal from Mary Kate Kessler. Michigan State took a 2-0 lead before Reardon’s goal made it 2-1. Michigan State scored 2 more to make 4-1 before Kessler’s goal made it 4-2. Indiana beat Michigan State 3-2 in overtime on April 15th in East Lansing. The Spartans are 2-13 on the season and will play Michigan today at Noon in the Quarterfinals. Indiana Ends the season at 1-14.

IU-UConn Football Game Rescheduled for 2026

Indiana and Connecticut will play their Football game that was canceled September 20th ,2020 due to COVID-19 on September 26th, 2026 in East Hartford.  The Hoosiers and the Huskies have played 3 times. Indiana won at home September 21st 2019 38-3. The Huskies won in Bloomington September 23rd, 2006 14-7 and in East Hartford 34-10 August 30th, 2003.

Gabbi Jenkins Named Big Ten Softball Co-Player of the Week

Indiana Senior Softball Player was Named Big Ten Co Softball Player of the Week. The Floyd Central HS Grad from Floyds Knobbs Indiana hit. 714 in the 4-game series with Ohio State this past weekend. Jenkins was 10-14 with 5 runs and 6 RBI’s. Jenkins had .750 on Base Percentage and stole two bases to increase her career total to 93 stolen bases. In the 8-0 over Ohio State on Saturday, Jenkins went 3-4 at the plate with a pair of doubles and 5 RBI. The Hoosiers will play a four game series at Illinois This Weekend.
