Indiana Men’s Soccer Plays Marquette in NCAA Third Round

Indiana Men’s Soccer will play Marquette in the Third Round of the NCAA Tournament in Cary North Carolina at 6 pm tonight. The game will take place at Wake Med Field and a livestream will be available on NCAA.com. Indiana is 9-1-2 and Marquette is 8-2-2. IU Leads the All-time Series 10-0-1 and a goal differential of 31-9. This is the first tournament meeting between the two schools.   IU along with Stanford and Wake Forest has made the sweet 16 every year since 2015.

Indiana Men’s Golf Makes NCAA Tournament

Indiana Men’s Golf has made the 2021 NCAA Tournament and will compete in the Tallahassee Regional May 17-19th. Florida State will host the regional at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club. The Hoosiers are the 8th seed and make there first NCAA Appearance since 2013 when the Hoosiers finished 13th in Fayetteville Arkansas.  It is the 10th appearance under coach Mike Mayer who is in his 23rd season as head coach of IU Men’s Golf Program.

Indiana Men’s Golfer Clay Merchent Named Big Ten Freshman of the Year

Indiana Men’s Golf Clay Merchant has been Named Big Ten Freshman of the Year and all Big Ten First Team while Senior Ethan Shepherd earned second team all-big ten and sportsmanship honors.  Merchent becomes the third Hoosier in program history and first since Jorge Campillio in 2006 to earn Big Ten Freshman of the year. Merchant is from Noblesville Indiana and the first Hoosier since Brent Peaper in 2013 to earn first team all-Big Ten Honors.    

Edgewood Softball Beats Northview 5-4

Edgewood Softball Railed from 4-0 to beat Northview 5-4 in Ellettsville Wednesday Night. IU Signee Taylor Minnick’s walk off double in the bottom of the 7th sealed the deal for the Mustangs.  The Pitcher for Northview is Indiana State bound Lauren Sackett. Northview got on the board in the top of the fourth, then was tied 4-4 going to the 7th.  Edgewood is ranked 2nd in Class 3A while the Knights ranked 15th and the two could see each other again in the sectional which will be hosted by Edgewood.
