Indiana Cutters Host Lake County Warriors in Second Preseason Game

The Indiana Cutters Semi Pro Football team is back in action tomorrow at 4 pm when they take on the Lake County Warriors in the second and final preseason game. The game will be played at Central Green Turf Field located 55 North Tibbs avenue on the Westside of Indianapolis. The Cutters lost to the Cincinnati Dukes 30-16 on April 24th in Cincinnati. The Cutters were down 30-0 before they scored twice in the 4th quarter and had several big defensive plays in that game.  The Cutters had touchdowns from Marquise Holt and Rob McCoy Touchdown Pass to GaJuan King.  The Lake County Warriors are in the North Division of the Battleground Football League. The Warriors based out of Gary are in there second year and beat the Stateline Seminoles 30-0 in their preseason game the same day the Cutters played. This will be the 1st time these two teams have met and could see each other again in the playoffs.  The Cutters open the regular season June 5th when they host the Quad City Titans. 

Big Home Weekend for Indiana Baseball

Indiana Baseball has a big weekend starting tonight at 8 pm when they host Nebraska on the Big Ten Network. The Hoosiers are 2nd place in the Big Ten with a 24-13 overall record and have lost three out of the last four. Nebraska is 25-11 and are in first place in the Big Ten Conference the Hoosiers and Nebraska will meet Twice this weekend with second game at 6:30 Saturday Night on ESPNU. Ohio State 19-16 will also be in town to face The Hoosiers Sunday at 5 PM on the Big Ten Network and Monday at 6 pm on the Big Ten Network. Fans are not allowed in for the final regular season home series just families which has been the case all season even though restrictions were lifted earlier this week.  The Hoosiers lost two out of three to Michigan Last week in Ann Arbor. Michigan is 25-13. Maryland which will host the Hoosiers Memorial Day Weekend for the Final Regular Season Series is 24-14.

Qualifying Begins for Indy 500

The Indianapolis 500 will take place on Sunday May 30th at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. 35 drivers will battle for 33 spots. Tomorrow when qualifying begins at noon and will go until 5:50 PM. There will be a practice session before qualifying at 9:30 AM. The field will be set by the end of Saturday. On Sunday the final 3 spots will be up for grabs in Last Row qualifying session from 1:15-2:30 PM the two drivers that are on the outside looking in will have a chance to get there way into the field by bumping each other out. The First 9 spots will be determined with the fast nine qualifying from 3:00-3:45 PM the fastest time will be the Pole Sitter and will lead the field to green for the Indianapolis 500. Positions 10 through 29 will be locked in after Saturday’s qualifying session.

Indiana Fever Host Atlanta Dream at Bankers Life Fieldhouse

One Team will get there first win of the season tonight as the Indiana Fever host the Atlanta Dream at 7 PM at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The Fever have lost twice to the New York Liberty and lost Wednesday night at Connecticut 88-67. Atlanta will be on the road for the first time this season after losing to Chicago 85-77 and Connecticut 78-67. Tonight’s game will be streamed over Twitter. Kelsey Mitchell leads the Fever in Scoring at 19.5 Points a Game. Atlanta is led by Odyssey Sims with 14 points a game.  Rookie Aari McDonald from Arizona who was the 3rd pick in the WNBA Draft has scored just 1 point in her first two games off the bench.
