Five More Indiana Football Game Times Announced
Five More Indiana Football game times have been announced for the 2021 season. The Season Opener at Iowa will be Saturday September 4th at 3:30 pm on Big Ten Network. The Home opener vs Idaho is Saturday September 11th at 7:30 on Big Ten Network. Saturday September 18th at home against Cincinnati is noon on ESPN or ABC. Saturday October 16th its homecoming against Michigan State at Noon. Saturday October 30th The Hoosiers travel to Maryland for a noon kick. The Last two games will have television coverage announced at later date.
Indy 500 Will Be Shown Live in Central Indiana
For the just the fifth time ever the Indy 500 will be shown live in Central Indiana. This Year’s race will start with the Green Flag at 12:45 on NBC this Sunday. Normally the race has been blacked out in the Indianapolis Market and shown on tape Delay at 7 pm that night. 40 percent capacity has been announced for this year race with will draw 135,000 the largest sporting event since the COVID-19 Pandemic began in March of 2020. All 135,00 tickets have been sold meaning that officials lifted the local blackout. The Race was shown live in 1949, 1950, 2016 and 2020. 2016 was the 100th running and all 350,000 tickets were sold. 2020 there were no fans and the race was run in August.
Josh Burton Memorial at Bloomington Speedway Tonight
The Josh Burton Memorial and Fireworks show will be held at the Bloomington Speedway. Burton was killed at the Bloomington Speedway in an accident in May of 2013 at 22 years old. Burton was a 2010 Graduate of Bloomington South. Super Stocks, 410 Non-Winged Sprints, Lighting Sprints, UMP Modifies are on the schedule for tonight. Edgewood Baseball Beat West Vigo 6-1
Edgewood Baseball beat West Vigo 6-1 Thursday Night in Class 3A Sectional Semifinal at Owen Valley. IU Commit Luke Hayden went six innings striking out six and allowing one run as Coleman Sater closed it out in the 7th inning for the Mustangs. Edgewood advances to Monday’s Sectional Championship Game at Noon against the Brown County-Sullivan Winner. Edgewood lost to Andrean in Class 3A State Championship game in 2019.
