Grace Berger and Team USA’s AmeriCup Game Against Argentina Canceled

The Basketball Game Scheduled between the USA and Argentina at the AmeriCup in San Juan Puerto Rico Tuesday Night was Canceled because of COVID-19 concerns within Argentina Basketball Team. The Game Result is a forfeit and Argentina which was scheduled to play Venezuela has been declared a forfeit and they have been disqualified from the tournament and their pervious results have been nullified. The USA will win Pool B with 3-0 Record and play the US Virgin Islands in the Quarterfinals on Thursday.  Indiana University Rising Senior Grace Berger has played 52 Minutes so far scored 18 Points, pulled down 12 rebounds, has dished out 8 assists, 4 steals and 2 turnovers in 3 games. Berger is 6-17 from the field, 0-2 from downtown and 6-8 from the free throw line.   

Bloomington South 5th Place After Day 1 Of Boys State Golf Finals

Bloomington South is in 5th place with a score of 311 after Day 1 of the Boys State Golf Finals at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel.  The Panthers shot 23 over par which is ten strokes back of the leaders. Guerin Catholic and Carmel are tied for the lead with team score of 301 which is 13 over par, followed by Center Grove 3 stokes behind at 304 and Zionsville 5 stroked back at 306.  Kash Bellar of Peru is the individual leader 3 under par 69. The final round gets underway at 8 AM this morning.

Indiana Swimmer Tomer Frankel Qualifies for Tokyo Olympics With Israel

Indiana University Rising Sophomore Swimmer Tomer Fankel has qualified for the Tokyo Olympics. Frankel a native of Jerusalem Israel went a lifetime best, Israeli Record and Olympic A Standard in the 100 butterfly at the Israel Olympic Trials to secure his spot on the Israel Olympic Team.  Frankel was 7 time all American, First Team All-Big Ten and 3 time Big Ten Champion winning the 100 butterfly and being on 2 relay teams.

Indiana Track and Field Closes 2020-21 School Year with NCAA Championships

Indiana Track and Field ended the 2020-21 school year with the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Eugene Oregon.  Kahayla Dawson was 4th in the Shot Put and 20th in the Discus. Maddy Pollard was 9th in the Shot Put. Kelsey Harris finished 9th in the 1500 Meters. Leah Moran was 9th in the Long Jump and 19th in the Triple Jump. Anna Watson tied for 12th in the Pole Vault. Nathan Stone was 13th in the Pole Vault. Parker Raymond finished 17th in the 800 Meters and Ben Vetach finished 24th in the 5000 Meters.
