Indiana Football Gets Commit from Texas Quarterback Josh Hoover

Indiana University Football got its 3rd commit and 6th for the 2022 class when Josh Hoover verbally committed to IU Tuesday. Hoover is a 6-2 210 Pound Quarterback from Rockwall-Heath HS in Rockwall Texas. Hoover was on campus this week and that was all he needed to decide that Bloomington was the place to call home for college.  Hoover chose IU over 17 other schools including Arkansas, Louisiana Tech, Memphis and Tulsa. Hoover threw for 3,556 Yards 36 touchdowns and 12 interceptions as junior. His sophomore season he threw 2,934 Yards and 32 Touchdown in 10 games. All Commits in the 2022 class cannot sign a National Letter of Intent until December 2021 or February 2022 which are the two National Signing Periods.

Indiana Men’s Soccer Announces 2021 Fall Schedule

Coming off a National Championship Game appearance in a condense spring schedule. Indiana Men’s Soccer announced a return to normal with the announcement of the 2021 Fall Schedule. The Hoosiers will play three exhibition games starting with an August 16th home match against DePaul followed by August 19th vs Wright State at Grand Park in Westfield Indiana. The Hoosiers host Louisville August 21st. Indiana will open the regular season Friday August 27th at Norte Dame before opening the Home Schedule Tuesday August 31st against Butler. The Hoosiers will host 11 home matches with fans being allowed to attend for the first time since the 2019 season. The Big Ten Tournament will be held Sunday November 7th with the quarterfinals, The Semifinals are Friday November 12th and the Championship game will be Sunday November 14th. The NCAA Men’s College Cup will be Friday December 10th and Sunday December 12th in Cary North Carolina.

IU Swimming Coach Ray Looze Named US Olympic Team Assistant

Indiana University Swimming Coach Ray Looze has been named an Assistant to the 2020 US Olympic Team that will compete in Tokyo Japan beginning on July 23rd. The Olympics were postponed from last summer due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and up to Ten Thousand local fans or 50 percent capacity will be allowed in to venues. Looze served as assistant coach at 2016 Rio Olympics with the Women’s Swimming Team and was head coach of the 2015 World University Games Women’s Team. IU will be will represented with nine Swimmers competing for United States, Israel and Brazil.  

IU Diving Coach Drew Johansen Named Olympic Team Head Coach

Indiana University Diving Head Coach will lead Team USA Diving for the 3rd straight Olympics this time in Tokyo Japan.  In the 2012 Games in London the US took home 1 Gold, 1 Sliver and 2 Bronze Medals which were the most for Team USA Diving since the 1988 Olympics in Seoul South Korea. In the 2016 Rio Olympics the US took 2 sliver and 1 Bronze Medal. Johnansen will have 3 IU Divers on the team in Tokyo. Andrew Capobianco will be in the 3 Meter Springboard and the 3 Meter Springboard Synchro. Mike Hixon will be Capobianco’s partner on the 3 Meter Springboard and Jessica Parratto will be competing on the 10 Meter Platform Synchro with her partner Delaney Schnell of Arizona. The Olympics being July 23rd.
