Indiana University Men’s Basketball Names Graduate Mangers for 2021-22 Season
Indiana University Men’s Basketball Coach Mike Woodson has announced the additions of Isaac Green, Nick Russell and Jacob Herrs as graduate managers for the 2021-22 season. Green earned a Batchelor’s degree from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business this year and is native of Franklin Lakes New Jersey. Russell played at Kansas State and SMU and finished up a 7-year pro career playing in Cyprus, Germany Greece and Romania. Russell won the 2015 Cypriot Cup Championship and is originally from Texas. Herrs is from Andover Kansas and played 20 career games at Wichita State going 19-1 in those games. He Made 2 NCAA Tournaments and NIT Semifinals. Herrs was named the to the American Athletic Conference all-academic team twice.
Gabbi Jenkins Named Volunteer Coach for Indiana University Softball
After finishing up a great career playing softball for Indiana University, Gabbi Jenkins is sticking around being named a Volunteer coach for the Hoosiers. Jenkins hit. 331 and stole 24 bases this year for the Hoosiers. She Set the school’s career stolen bases record with 96. She led the Big Ten Conference with 18 doubles to set a single season record, Jenkins hit three career home runs all coming in 2021 with walk off against Penn State and two more against Ohio State and earned player of the week honors. Jenkins has her degree in elementary education and is working towards a degree in Educational Leadership was named the Big Ten Sportsmanship award winner earlier this year. Jenkins is from Floyds Knobbs Indiana and graduated from Floyd Central High School
Kevin Robson Named Associate Head Men’s Soccer Coach for Indiana University
Indiana University Men’s Soccer Coach Todd Yeagley has elevated Kevin Robson to associate head Men’s Soccer Coach. Robson is in his 8th season as full-time assistant coach and fourth season as recruiting coordinator since returning to Bloomington in July 2013. Robson a St Louis Missouri Native played at IU from 2003-06 and was student coach in 2007. The Hoosiers won the 2003 and 2004 National Championships. Robson was a part of five Big Ten Championships 3 regular season and 2 tournament titles. He led the team in assists with six in 2006 and was 2nd in that category on the 2004 team.
Indiana Baseball to Play in the Round Rock Classic to Start the 2022 Season
Indiana Baseball has announced they will start the 2022 season with the Round Rock Classic in Round Rock Texas February 25th-27th. There will be a doubleheader each day at Dell Diamond which is the home of the Round Rock Express the Triple A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. Indiana will play Arkansas on Friday February 25th at 8 PM Eastern time. Saturday February 26th the Hoosiers will meet Louisiana Lafayette at 1 om Eastern and close it out Sunday February 27th against Stanford at 1 PM Eastern. Tickets are on sale now and all six games will be broadcast live by FloBaseball.tv.
