Indiana DNC Delegation allegedly targeted
Hoosier Delegates to the Democrat National Convention experienced a less than appetizing breakfast yesterday morning. Indiana Delegates have been staying at the Fairmont Chicago Hotel where someone allegedly placed crickets into their breakfast buffet. One person was treated and released by medics at the scene but there were no reports of anyone getting sick. It has been reported that a group of unknown women were spotted placing unknown objects at tables, but it I unknown whether or not it has any relation to the insects. The incident is now under investigation by the FBI.

Fishers Police seek assistance re: hit and run
The Fishers Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in the search of a driver that struck a Teenager on a bicycle earlier in the month. The driver in question is a blonde-haired woman that was driving a Jeep Wrangler and did not stop, after hitting the bicyclist on East 116th Street in Fishers. The teen sustained several minor injuries. Those with any information on the matter are asked to call law enforcement.

George Walker of WFIU fame passes away at 81
Local radio legend George Walker has passed at age 81, He was a classical music host and producer for WFIU. Walker, who retired from WFIU in 2022 after 45 years as a full-time staff member, came to Indiana University in 1967 to earn a Master’s in English. He would spend the next 50 years supporting and promoting our Bloomington Community

B-Town Blvd Tailgating
The tailgate experience at IU Football games should be better this year, as Indiana University will debut B-Town Boulevard this season. The new festival-like space is on the south lawn of Memorial Stadium, will open 2 ½ hours before kickoff, and is open to all ticket holders as well as the general public. B-town Boulevard will feature: a concert stage with live bands; food trucks; an outdoor bar; family-friendly games; IU Team Store with IU merchandise; and other IU-related attractions.

4th St. Arts Fest
Around the corner is Bloomington’s 4th Street Arts Festival. The annual Labor Day Weekend show is Saturday August 31st-Sunday September 1st this year and features 120 artisans from across the country who offer their work to the public. In addition, there are music stages, Spoken Word stages, kids’ booths, and community booths for visitors to enjoy!
