For Two Seasons Elle Britt was an Indiana Hoosier and now the Senior from Cincinnati, Ohio has played for the Ohio State Buckeyes the last two seasons and against her former team in her first trip to Bloomington since transferring Britt scored in the 9th minute as the #6 Ohio State Buckeyes beat the Indiana Hoosiers 3-0 Sunday Afternoon on Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium in Bloomington. Britt played 37 matches and started 16 games for the Hoosiers in 2023 and 2024 scoring 4 goals and 3 assists. Since transferring to Ohio State Britt has started and played in 31 games with 7 goals and 4 assists with the Buckeyes. Ohio State made the elite 8 losing to Florida State 4-1 in Tallahassee on November 28th, 2025, as Britt recorded an assist in the match.
The Buckeyes ae 6-0-1 on the season and 2-0 in the Big Ten and have posted back-to-back shutouts after 1-0 home win last Thursday against Penn State. Ohio State will head to Los Angeles to face UCLA This Thursday and USC will head to Columbus on September 24. The Buckeyes lead the all-time series with the Hoosiers 19-13-3. The Buckeyes scored back-to-back goals in the first half to put the game away early. In the 8th Minute Amanda Schlueter rocketed a shot into the upper left corner off her right foot as Indiana Goalkeeper Dani Jacobson had no chance to save to give the Buckeyes a 1-0 lead and Schluter’s fifth goal of the season and that puts her in 4th on the all-time points list in Ohio State History.
1:55 later Britt scored when the ball hit off Dani Jacobson’s hands and rolled into the bottom right corner of the goal to give the Buckeyes a 2-0 lead and Ava Greco recorded her first assist of the season. Ohio State went into the locker room with a 2-0 lead. The Buckeyes outshot the Hoosiers 4-3 and 3-1 shots on goal in the first half. Ohio State Goalkeeper Peighton Northrup made 1 save and Indiana’s Dani Jacobson made 1 save. Ohio State had 1 corner kick, and the Hoosiers did not have a corner kick in the first half. Ohio State was called offsides five times and Indiana were called for offsides once.
In the second half The Buckeyes continued to dominate as Amanda Schuleter scored her 6th goal of the season as she got the brace in the 60th minute going to the bottom right of goal off her left foot. Schuleter was named second team all-Big-Ten a Season ago and made her case for a spot on the first team this season and consideration for Big Ten Player of the Year with a great start to conference play. For the match Ohio State outshot the Hoosiers 12-5 and 4-1 in shots on goal. Peighton Northrup played the first 77 minutes and replaced by Lizzie Rozmajzl for the final 13 minutes. Northup made 1 save in the match. Dani Jacobson made 1 save for the Hoosiers. Indiana committed 8 fouls and Ohio State committed 6 fouls. Ohio State had 3 Corner Kicks and Indiana had 2. Ohio State was called offsides nine time and the Hoosiers were called offside twice.
Indiana drops to 4-3-1 overall and 1-1 in the Big Ten Play. The Hoosiers will travel to Wisconsin Next Sunday with a matchup with the Badgers. No doubt the Josh Rife and the Hoosiers are disappointed after a 1-0 win at Nebraska the Hoosiers come and can’t “Protect the Bill” be playing their first ranked opponent of the season and getting shutout at home.
