Indiana Men’s Soccer Beats Butler 1-0

The 2nd ranked Indiana Men’s Soccer beat instate rival Butler 1-0 Tuesday Night at 8 pm at Bill Armstrong Stadium.  The Hoosiers got the only goal of the game from Joey Maher at the 28:50 mark. Roman Celentano made 2 saves and got his first shoutout of the season.  The Hoosiers are 2-0 Butler is 0-1-1.  Indiana now leads the all-time series 24-5-4 and the last eight meetings the Indiana leads the series 3-2-3 with Indiana outscoring Butler 12-9.  Indiana will be back in action this Friday at 8 PM when they host Creighton Adidas/IU Credit Union Classic.  

Indiana Fever Beat Los Angeles 74-72

The Indiana Fever beat the Los Angeles Sparks 74-72 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis Tuesday Night. The Fever got 25 points from Kelsey Mitchell, a double-double from Teria McGowan 15 points and 19 rebounds along with 12 points from Tiffany Mitchell. The Sparks had 4 players in double figures with Lauren Cox scoring 14 points off the bench. Cox was waived by the Fever earlier in the season.   The Fever improved to 6-19 while Sparks fell to 10-17 on the season. The Fever will host the Phoenix Mercury at 1 PM on Saturday.

Indianapolis Indians Beat Iowa Cubs 4-3

The Indianapolis Indians beat the Iowa Cubs 4-3 Tuesday night at Victory Field in Indianapolis. With the Cubs leading 3-2 after 6 innings. The Indians were able to score 2 runs in the bottom of the eighth to take the lead. Iowa had 6 hits and 1 error and are 42-61 on the season. Indianapolis had 8 hits and 2 errors and improve to 49-53 on the season. The same two teams meet tonight at 7:05 at Victory Field.

Indianapolis Colts Acquire Tackle Matt Pryor from Philadelphia Eagles

The Indianapolis Colts have acquired tackle Matt Pryor and seventh round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. The Eagles will get the Colts 2022 sixth round pick. Pryor is 6-7 332 pounds and played 27 regular season games and had 10 starts and started one preseason contest from 2018-2020. He was selected by the Eagles in 2018 NFL Draft with the 206th overall pick in the 6th round out of TCU.
