Indianapolis Colts Travel to Baltimore Ravens for Monday Night Football

The Indianapolis Colts will face the Baltimore Ravens on ESPN’s Monday Night Football at 8:15 PM with the game on ESPN and will broadcast on WISH-TV Channel 8 in Indianapolis. The Colts are coming off a 27-17 win at the Miami Dolphins for there first win of the season. Carson Wentz will look to keep the momentum going. Wentz has thrown for 920 Yards, 5 touchdowns and 1 interception in 4 games. Johnathan Taylor and Nyhiem Hines have a rushing touchdown. Zach Pascal has 3 receiving touchdowns along with 2 from Tight-End Mo Allie-Cox. Rodrigo Blankenship been the leader for the Colts hitting nine field goals and six points after attempts.  The Ravens come in at 3-1 with wins over the Kansas City Chiefs at home and road wins at Detroit and Denver. The Ravens have won three in a row after at loss at Las Vegas on Monday night in week 1. Ravens Quarterback Lamar Jackson has passed for 1,077 yards 4 touchdowns and thrown 3 interceptions. Jackson has rushed for 279 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Ravens have rushed for at least 100 yards in 43 straight games which ties the 44-year-old NFL record set by the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1974-77. The Ravens rushed for 110 yards in a 24-10 win over the Colts in Indianapolis last season. The Colts have given up at least 101 yards in three of the first four games this season.

Bloomington North and Edgewood Get Pounded in Week 8 Of HS Football Season

It was another rough week for Monroe County High School Football as Bloomington North Lost to Columbus North 56-13 and Edgewood was shutout 60-0 at Northview.  Columbus North 4-0 in Conference Indiana has a share of the Conference Indiana Title and can win it outright next week in the regular season finale hosting Terre Haute South. The Cougars are 5-3, 2-2 in Conference Indiana and have lost 2 in a row and will travel to Southport 0-8 for the regular season finale Friday night at 7 PM.  Edgewood is 1-6, 0-4 in the Green Division of the Western Indiana Conference and host Brown County 3-5 on the red turf in Ellettsville. The Mustangs are looking to take back the Talon and Hoof Trophy after Brown County Beat Edgewood 28-18 last season in Nashville but the Mustangs beat the Eagles in the Sectional 14-0 at Edgewood.  Bloomington South 6-1 will travel to Indianapolis Chatard 4-4 to face a Trojan team who has won the last four games after an 0-4 start. Bloomington South had the week off after they were scheduled to play Hammond Morton Last Saturday Night who canceled due to COVID-19 concerns with in their program and Panthers were unable to find a replacement opponent. 

Bloomington North Takes Home Both Girls and Boys Cross Country Sectional Titles

It was a great day for Bloomington North Cross Country as the Cougars took home the Girls and Boys Cross Country Titles at Bedford North Lawrence HS Saturday. Bloomington North Scored 33 points and the Cougars take home its 19th Sectional Title and the Cougars have won 7 straight sectionals dating back to 2015. Bloomington South was 2nd with 48 points and Junior Lilly Myers won the individual title crossing the line in 19:21. Edgewood was 3rd with 71 Points, Eastern Greene 4th with 110 Points and Bloomfield 5th with 153 Points and will all move on to the Regional at Bedford North Lawrence next Saturday at 10:30 AM. Lighthouse Christian will advance two the regional as individual with Lilly Rasmusen finished 20th and Madeline Esslinger finishing 22nd. The Cougar Boys scored 25 points and won the Individual Title with senior Nolan Bailey crossing the line in 16:44. Bloomington North takes home its 22nd Sectional Championship and goes back-to-back after winning it last year. Bloomington South was 2nd with 32 Points, Bloomfield 3rd with 123 Points, Edgewood 4th with 128 Points and Orleans was 5th with 136 points and will all move on the Regional Next Saturday at Bedford North Lawrence at 11:30 AM. Lighthouse Christian Academy finished 10th with 284 points and will not advance to the Regional.

Bloomington South Takes Home Boys and Girls Soccer Sectional Titles

It was great day Bloomington South Soccer on Saturday as Bloomington South beat Bloomington North 1-0 in the IHSAA Class 3A Boys Soccer Sectional Championship Game at Terre Haute North in the afternoon. The Panthers win their 12th Sectional Championship and 9th in the last 10 years. The Panthers will travel to Southport to face the Cardinals in the Regional Semifinals on Thursday at 6 PM. The Lady Panthers followed up with 1-0 win over Bloomington North in evening spoiling the Cougars chances to win a sectional title on their home pitch. Bloomington South wins its 17th Sectional titles and Lady Panthers have won 6th straight sectionals dating back to 2016. The Panthers will travel to Columbus North to face the Bulldogs in the Regional Semifinals on Wednesday at 6 PM.
