IU Women’s Basketball Beat Ohio State in Columbus
The 11th Ranked Indiana Women’s Basketball Team Ohio State 87-75 In Columbus a place the Hoosiers have not won since January 12th 2003 when they beat the Buckeyes 54-50. IU snapped a 15 game losing streak to Ohio State. The Last Hoosier win in the series came January 31st, 2010 67-62. The Hoosiers are 15-4 and 14-2 in the Big 10 and have a 7 game winning streak. The 14 Big Ten wins are the most in the Teri Moren Era. Grace Berger led the way with 20 Points, Ali Patberg 19 Points, Mackenzie Holmes 17 Pts Aleska Gulbe 10 Pts and Nicole Cardano-Hillary 16 Points and 11 Rebounds. The Hoosiers host Iowa Wednesday Afternoon at 4:30 PM on the Big Ten Network
IU Men’s Basketball Falls to Michigan at Home
The Indiana Men’s Basketball Team Lost to 3rd Ranked Michigan 73-57 at Simon Skjdot Assembly Hall. Senior Al Durham scored 15th points and became the latest Hoosier to reach 1,000 point mark for his career. Race Thompson had 11 Points, Trayce Jackson Davis added 10 Points. At the end of the game Coach Archie Miller put in Senior Walk On Cooper Bybee from Ellettsville and Edgewood HS. Bybee missed his first shot and then was fouled and went to the foul line where he hit both his free throws. IU is 12-12 and 7-10 in the Big Ten. The Hoosiers Travel to Michigan State Tuesday 8 PM on the Big Ten Network.
Four Girls Basketball State Champions Crowned
Four State Champions were crowned last Friday and Saturday Night at the IHSAA Girls Basketball State Finals at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. In Class 1A Pioneer beat Loogootee 43-42 in Rematch of last year state championship game that Loogootee won 45-43. In Class 2A Linton Routs Tipton 62-28 for back to back titles for the lady miners. In Class 3A Sliver Creek beat South Bend Washington 54-48 for Sliver Creek’s First State Title in Girls Basketball. Class 4A Crown Point beat Brownsburg 44-34 to win its 3rd State Championship and first in since 1985.
2021 Indiana Cutters Football Schedule Announced
The Indiana Cutters Semi Pro Football Team has announced there 2021 Schedule. The Cutters will travel to Cincinnati Ohio to face the Dukes on April 24th the first of two preseason games. The Cutters will host the Lake County Warriors in second preseason game May 22nd. The Cutters will Host the Quad City Titans in the Season Opener June 5th. The Cutters will Host the State Line Seminoles on June 19th, Joliet Buccaneers on July 10th and the Indiana Tornados July 17th. The Cutters will travel to Fort Wayne Wolverines on June 12th, Kentucky Cardinals June 26th, Kentuckiana Calvary July 24th and Elkhart Panthers July 31st. All times and Home Field will be announced at later date.
