Trish Whitcomb, a candidate for Chairperson of the Indiana Democrat Party has dropped out of the race, one day after the unexpected death of her son.

I will continue to work with the party in the future to ensure we have strong candidates and campaigns in any capacity that I can.  I appreciate the opportunity to run and wish the next Chair all the best,” Whitcomb released in a statement.

This coming Saturday, the party will chose its new leader between former Pete Buttigieg Campaign Manager Mike Schmuhl, and the current Morgan County Democrat Party Chai ,Tom Wallace.
