Indianapolis Police shoot man after being attacked with  a knife
35 year-old Curtis Walker is still listed in critical condition after being shot by Indianapolis Metropolitan Police yesterday morning.  Walker was involved in a domestic disturbance where he was holding a woman hostage with a knife to her neck just before 5am on Monday morning. After Polive arrived, Walker is alleged to have aggressively attacked them with the same weapon. Officers opened fire and hit the suspect multiple times. The woman was not physically injured during the occurrence. Investigators are reviewing body cameras footage captured during the incident.

Vigo County Councilman and his wife struck and killed while on vacation.
Vigo County Councilman Donald Morris and his wife Cheryl Hart were killed last week while visiting Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Morris and Hart were pedestrians walking on a sidewalk when they were struck by a vehicle that was involved in an automobile accident. The 67 year-old Morris was a professional musician and served as current Vigo County Councilmember, and a former Terre Haute City Councilmember. Morris and Hart have 2 adult children.

City Launches 7-Line with Community Kickoff
The City of Bloomington will host a public kickoff to start of construction of the 7-Line, a transformation of 7th Street providing a protected east-west bicycle lane, improved bus stops, and improved pedestrian features.  The multimodal corridor will connect the B-Line, downtown, the Indiana University campus, and neighborhoods on the city’s east and west sides while improving comfort, safety, and efficiency for all road users. The event will be held Thursday, June 3, at 4:30 p.m. on the south side of East 7th Street at Fess Avenue.  Learn more by visiting:  7-Line.
