Indiana’s Grace Berger Solid in Team USA Debut

Indiana University Women’s Basketball Rising Senior Grace Berger made her Team USA Debut.  Berger played 15 Minutes and 47 of action as she scored 6 Points, 5 Rebounds and 4 assists as the USA rolled over Dominican Republic 102-39 in the first game of the AmeriCup in San Juan Puerto Rico Saturday Night.  Berger is wearing the Number 8 for the Red, White and Blue and will be in action all this week.

Indiana Boys All Stars Sweep Girls Split with Kentucky All Stars

The Indiana All Stars beat the Kentucky All Stars Friday Night in Owensboro Kentucky. The Indiana Girls won 69-58 and the Indiana Boys won 93-70 for there 100th win the series. On Saturday Night the Kentucky Girls won 78-76 to split and the Indiana Boys 86-70 to sweep the series at Southport High School in Indianapolis. Jayla Smith Of Lawrence North is Indiana Miss Basketball headed to Purdue. Caleb Furst of Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian is Indiana and Mr. Basketball and headed to Purdue.

Four High School State Softball Champions Crowned

Four State High Champions were crowned in Softball over the weekend at Center Grove High School in Greenwood. In Class 1A Northfield beat Clay City 3-1 and In Class 3A Boonville beat Guerin Catholic 1-0 Friday Night. In Class 2A Pioneer beat Sullivan 4-2 to compete the first ever Girls “Triple Crown” which consist of Winning the Volleyball, Girls Basketball and Softball State Championships in the same school year. In Class 4A Roncalli beat Lake Central 4-1.

Three Hoosier Divers Headed to Tokyo For Olympics

Three Indiana University divers are headed to the Tokyo Olympics after they competed at the US Olympic Trials in Indianapolis at IUPUI Natatorium.  Reigning NCAA Champion and 2016 Olympian Mike Hixon won the 3 Meter Synchro with a score of 1,289.37 points Incoming Freshman Carson Tyler and his teammate finished 3rd with a score of 1,051.68 and Future Hoosier Quinn Henninger and his teammate scored 1,028.19 Points to finish 4th. Hoosier All American Jessica Paratto and her Teammate Delaney Schnell of Arizona won the Women’s 10 Meter Synchro with a score of 930.00 Points.
