Indiana Men’s Basketball to Play Syracuse in Big Ten/ACC Challenge

Indiana Men’s Basketball will play at Syracuse on Tuesday November 30th in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. This will be the 7th all-time meeting Syracuse leads the series 6-1. The Only time the Hoosiers have won in the series was the 1987 NCAA Championship game in New Orleans when Keith Smart hit the game winning shot with seconds left. The Last time these two teams met was December 3rd, 2013in Syracuse when the Orange beat the Hoosiers 69-52. Indiana is 8-12 all time in the Big Ten /ACC Challenge.

Indiana Men’s Basketball Play St John’s in Gavitt Tip-Off Games  

Indiana Men’s Basketball will host St John’s Wednesday November 17th in the 6th annual Gavitt Games which matchup teams from the Big Ten and Big East. IU leads the Series with St John’s 5-2 and this will be the third time that St John’s has made the trip to Bloomington. St John’s beat the Hoosiers 65-55 February 1st 1952 and the Hoosiers won 105-80 December 23rd 1992. The Last Meeting between the two teams came November 24th 2016 in Maui when Indiana won 83-73.

Cora Bassett Joins Indiana Softball

Indiana Softball has announced the Transfer of Cora Bassett from Purdue. Bassett played for the Boilermakers for two seasons before deciding to Join the Hoosiers. Bassett was second all big ten and started at 32 games in 2021. Bassett had 103 at bats, 32 hits with 15 runs and 9 walks along with .311 Batting Average 22 RBI’s, 10 Doubles and 6 game hitting streak.  Bassett played at Castle HS in Newburgh Indiana.

Indiana Fever Waive Lauren Cox

The Indiana Fever have waived Center Lauren Cox. Cox was the number 3 overall pick in 2020 WNBA Draft. 6-4 she helped Baylor win the 2019 National Championship. Cox in 2020 played in 14 of 22 games in the Bubble in Bradenton Florida after contracting COVID-19. Cox Averaged 3.6 points and 3.3 rebounds. This season Cox played 11 of 16 games averaged 8.6 Minutes, 1.4 points and 2 rebounds per game for a fever team that is 1-15 this season.
