Indiana Field Hockey Announces 2021 Fall Schedule

The 2021 Indiana Field Hockey Schedule has been announced. The Hoosiers will play 19 regular season games and will open on the road August 27th for a 1 PM matchup with Central Michigan. IU will host Bellarmine on September 6th at 3 PM. The Final regular season home game will take place October 22nd at Noon when they host St Louis. The final regular season game will be October 31st at Northwestern at 1 pm. The Big Ten Tournament will be hosted by Rutgers November 4-7th.

Former Indiana Baseball Head Coach Chris Lemonis Wins National Title with Mississippi State

Mississippi State beat Vanderbilt 9-0 in the third and final game of the College World Series best two of three championship finals in Omaha Nebraska to give Mississippi State its first national title in any sport. Mississippi State is coach by Chris Lemonis who coached at Indiana University from 2015-2018. Lemonis was 141-91-2 in 4 seasons with the Hoosiers and made 3 NCAA Tournaments. He took the job at Mississippi State on June 25th 2018 and is 114-37 and has made 2 trips to the College World Series. The 2020 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Bulldogs finished 50-18 and Lemonis is 225-128-2 in his 7 seasons as a head baseball coach.

Yogi Ferrell and Los Angeles Clippers Eliminated in the Western Conference Finals

The Phoenix Suns beat the Los Angeles Clippers 130-103 in Game 6 of the NBA Western Conference Finals in Los Angeles. The Suns win the series 4-2 and advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1993. Former Indiana University Star Yogi Ferrell played 3 minutes was 0-1 from the field and had an assist for the Clippers. Ferrell played in 9 postseason games averaging 1.7 minutes and 0.4 points per game for the Clippers.  

Fort Wayne Komets One Win Away from Title

The Fort Wayne Comets Ice Hockey Team can close it out tonight when they host the South Carolina Stingrays in Game 4 of the East Coast Hockey League Finals at 8 pm at Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne.  The Komets won Game 3 6-4 Wednesday night before a packed Memorial Coliseum crowd of 7,777 fans. The Komets lead the best of five series 2-1 and should there be a Game 5 it will be tomorrow night at 7:30 PM. Fort Wayne is looking for its first championship since 2012 and 10th overall.
