Indiana is a team that when they are hitting three pointers they are tough to beat. Conor Enright is the floor general and does not look for his shot most of the time but playing for Darian DeVries when he was Drake and now reunited at Indiana the Senior knows what is expected of him and when he needs to he takes the shots needed and provides energy and hustle that Hoosiers need to get the home crowd fired up. It was also amazing to just 8 turnovers in the game between both teams and was a good one to watch and gives Indiana good momentum heading to Maryland on Wednesday Night.

He has played in 35 career games (20 starts, nearly 1,500 snaps), all with Wisconsin, and has 130 tackles and seven interceptions. Zachman will help fill the void to be left by starters Louis Moore and Devan Boykin.
In 2025 Zachman played in three games and had 12 tackles and two interceptions. He missed the final nine games of 2025 due to a leg injury. Both of the takeaways came in the second half of the season opener against Miami (Ohio). Zachman was named Big Ten defensive player of the week. Zachman is seeking a medical hardship waiver to play the seventh season in 2026. After only playing three games, he should qualify.
In 2024 he started all 12 games at safety for the Badgers and made a career-high 58 tackles (39 solos), two interceptions, three TFLs and four pass breakups. In 2023 Zachman played in all 13 games, making five starts. He totaled 49 tackles and two interceptions. In 2022 Zachman played in six games before missing the rest of the season due to injury. He had 11 tackles and 0.5 TFLs, and grabbed his first career interception in the season opener vs. Illinois State. In the 2020 season that did not count against eligibility, Zachman played one game. He didn’t play at all in 2021 and took a redshirt season. Out of Southern Columbia H.S. in Elysburg, Pa., Zachman was a three-star high school recruit by 247 Sports, ESPN and Rivals in the class of 2020.

Marsh scored touchdowns against Indiana in each of the last two seasons. He had seven catches for 64 yards and a score in Bloomington this season, and five catches for 78 yards and a score a season ago in East Lansing. Marsh was a consensus 4-star recruit out River Rouge H.S. in the Detroit area. Wide receiver is a position of need in 2026 for Indiana. The Hoosiers are losing wide receivers Elijah Sarratt, E.J. Williams and Jonathan Brady following the 2025 season. Redshirt junior Omar Cooper, Jr. is eligible to return but also appears on some NFL Draft projections.
Indianapolis Colts Drop Final Regular Season Game on the Road to the Houston Texans The Indianapolis Colts lost to the Texans, 38-30, and end the season on a seven-game losing streak. The Colts have now lost five straight games against the Texans. “I was pleased with the way the guys battled all day, but at the end of the day, obviously not enough,” Colts head coach Shane Steichen said. “Turnovers hurt us and penalties hurt us. But I thought Riley (Leonard) did some really good things. He showed up, threw some touchdown passes, moved in the pocket well and made some big-time plays for us.” The Colts finish the season with an 8-9 record for the second straight season. “It was frustrating, the last half of the season for sure,” Steichen said. “That’s what’s it been, not finding ways to finish and we’ve got to work tirelessly to get that fixed. “ Riley Leonard was 21-for-34 passing for 270 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. He also had 21 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. Leonard also lost two fumbles. “Didn’t play well enough when I needed to,” Leonard said. “I did a lot of good, but too much bad.”
“What an opportunity,” Leonard added. “Something you dream of your entire life and every snap that I was out there, I had goose bumps just thinking, ‘Man, I made it.’ But that all gets wiped away whenever you make mistakes and got to take care of those.” DJ Giddens led the Colts on the ground with eight carries for 30 yards. Alec Pierce was the Colts leading receiver with four catches for 132 yards and two touchdowns. He was ejected in the third quarter after bumping into an official while advocating for a defensive pass interference call. “I thought it was pass interference and I was talking to him about that, and then I guess I bumped him,” Pierce said. Pierce went and talked to the official after he was ejected. “I just wanted to let him know I wasn’t trying to put hands on him or anything,” Pierce said. “No malicious act.”
After another losing season, there was a lot of frustration in the locker room. “It just wasn’t good enough,” Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. said. “That starts with me. The last half, it just wasn’t good, wasn’t good enough to go out there and win games, and we got to take that and own that and it starts with me. I could have played a lot better throughout those games and today as well.” “You lost seven straight, losing record, nobody’s happy at this point in time with what we’ve done,” Colts tight end Mo Alie-Cox said. “There are no moral victories. I don’t really take moral victories. I’m trying to win every game every time we step out there.” The Colts announced they are bringing back Steichen and general manager Chris Ballard for the 2026 season.
Purdue’s Braden Smith Sets the All-Time Big Ten Assist Record as the #5 Boilermakers win at Wisconsin Braden Smith became the Big Ten’s career assists leader, Fletcher Loyer scored 20 points and No. 5 Purdue defeated Wisconsin 89-73 on Saturday night. Smith had 12 assists to increase his career total to 893 and break the record formerly held by Cassius Winston, who compiled 890 career assists with Michigan State from 2017-20. Smith is averaging 9.6 assists per game and entered Saturday leading all Division I players in that category. The large contingent of Purdue fans at the Kohl Center chanted “Braden Smith!” and gave him a standing ovation after he broke Winston’s record. The 6-foot senior also had 14 points as Purdue (13-1, 3-0 Big Ten) continued its hot streak.
Since losing 81-58 to No. 3 Iowa State on Dec. 8 — a defeat that dropped Purdue out of the No. 1 ranking — the Boilermakers have won each of their last five games by an average margin of 26.6 points. C.J. Cox had 14 points, Oscar Cluff 12 and Trey Kaufman-Renn 11 for Purdue. Nick Boyd scored 24 points for Wisconsin (9-5, 1-2), while Nolan Winter added 18 points and 10 rebounds. Purdue led by as many as 25 points with 8 1/2 minutes remaining. Wisconsin clawed back and cut Purdue’s lead to 84-73 with 3:22 left, but Loyer responded with a 3-pointer to thwart any comeback hopes. Wisconsin lost at home for the first time this season. The Badgers took the early lead by continually driving to the basket and making nine of their first 12 shots, but Purdue pulled ahead for good on an Omer Mayer 3-pointer with 7:25 left in the first half. Purdue will host Washington on Wednesday Night at 8:30 PM.
Taylor University Men’s Basketball’s Carson’s Gould Sets Assists Record with 13 in Blowout Victory Over Marian Taylor dominated Marian (4-11, 2-3 CL) from tip to buzzer on Saturday afternoon, cruising to an 88-58 victory as Crossroads League picked back up inside Odle Arena. Carson Gould set the Taylor program record for assists in a game with 13 as he continues to thrive as the starting point guard. The freshman has seven helpers in the first and six more in the second to surpass the previous record of 12 set by Ryan Sorrell in 1990. Gould accomplishes the feat in just his 15th collegiate game and seventh as a starter. The Trojan offense continues to thrive in Head Coach Austin Peter’s second year at the helm. The depth was on display as all 11 players who saw the court scored while ten of them hit a shot from beyond the arc, with the team shooting 16-28 from long range. The ball movement was crisp, with 29 assists on 34 field goals and nine players tallying at least one.
29 total assists is the most for Taylor (12-3, 4-1 CL) since dishing out 34 in 2009 against OSU-Marion in a 109-59 route. The 30-point margin of victory is also the highest for Taylor in Crossroads League play in program history. Levin Smith received his first collegiate start and was terrific, scoring 11 first half points on a perfect 5-5 from the field, including one from long range. Smith added a bucket in the second and four rebounds, three assists, and two blocks in a fantastic debut in the starting lineup. The Trojans forced an early timeout with buckets on four of their first five possessions and after the Knights cut the lead to four, a 12-0 run fueled by Pete Combs, who scored or assisted on every point during the stretch put the game away sooner than expected. Combs totaled 11 points in just 12 minutes on the floor and added three assists.
The electric offense by the Purple and Gray was unmatched, as they poured in 47 first half points and shot over 60 percent while hitting eight threes. Anthony McGhee led the team in scoring with 18 points, 16 of them in the first half on a perfect 6-6 from the field and 4-4 from downtown in the first half. Taylor gave Marian no glimmer of hope in the second half, keeping the lead at 20 or more the entire way and pushed it 35 with just over a minute remaining after a triple by Nathan Baker. The offense has grabbed the headlines, but the defense by the Trojans was impressive as well, holding Marian to just 58 points, 15 points under its season average. The Knights had a pair of players score 12 apiece to lead the team but shot under 42 percent from the field. The dominance on the floor was evident in many ways included Taylor outscoring Marian 36-16 in the paint and 36-20 from the bench. Taylor continues Crossroads League play on Wednesday, January 7th, beginning a three-game road trip against Saint Francis (6-8, 1-4 CL), with tip scheduled for 7:30 pm.
