Indiana Women’s Basketball Game with Michigan State Postponed Due to COVID-19
For the second time in a row Indiana Women’s Basketball will have to wait to play a game. The Hoosiers Scheduled Game at Michigan State Thursday Night has been Postponed due to COVID Concerns within the Spartans Program. The Hoosiers were scheduled to Play Rutgers yesterday afternoon in Assembly Hall But that game was Postponed due to COVID Concerns within the Scarlet Knights Program. The Hoosiers are scheduled to Play at Northwestern Sunday January 24th at 12 PM ET on ESPN2.
IU Women’s Basketball Ranked 16th and Grace Berger Named Player Of Week
IU Women’s Basketball is ranked 16th in this week in the Associated Press Top 25 coaches poll. The Hoosiers moved up two spots from last week when they were ranked 18th. For the third time this season Junior Grace Berger has been named the Big Ten Player Of the week. Berger Scored 22 Points was 8-13 from the floor had 7 assists, 5 rebounds and was a perfect 5-5 at the FT Line in a win at Purdue last Thursday Afternoon.
IHSAA Boys Basketball State Finals Moved To April 3rd.
The IHSAA Boys Basketball State Finals has been Moved to Saturday April 3rd to avoid a conflict with the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament . The State finals were originally to held Saturday March 27th at Bankers Life Fieldhouse but the entire NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament will be Held in Indianapolis along with Mackey Arena and Assembly Hall. The Rest of the State Tournament will still be held as scheduled with Sectionals taking Place March 2nd-6th Regionals on March 13th and Semi-states on March 20th. Bankers Life Fieldhouse will be used as one of sites for the NCAA Tournament along with 2 Courts at Lucas Oil Stadium, Indiana Farmers Coliseum and Hinkle Fieldhouse. The State Finals will stay at Bankers Life Fieldhouse to be held the same day as the Final Four a mile down the road at Lucas Oil Stadium.
