Government and Covid Vaccination Closures

Monroe County Offices, including Courts and Prosecutor’s offices, will be closed today due to projected temperatures and snow accumulation. Regular employees in non-emergency positions who are scheduled to work are excused from work without loss of pay or change of benefit time. Employees classified as “Emergency workers” are expected to report to work on time.

Bloomington’s COVID-19 vaccination sites are also closed today due to weather conditions. those with appointments at the MCHD Convention Center should receive a text message about closures. IU Health Medical Arts on First Street will notify people with appointments by text or email. Call 211 for additional information.

Indiana Legislation increases Law Enforcement accountability

The Indiana House unanimously approved legislation supporting law enforcement and boosting accountability and transparency in policing. Students Present Their First Business Pitches at the Student Pitch Showcase

The Mill and the Greater Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Monroe County Community School Corporation are hosting a Student Pitch Showcase. Students in the INCubatoredu entrepreneurship program at The Academy of Science & Entrepreneurship will present their first business pitches and receive feedback from judges.
