 Indiana Men’s Soccer Wins Big Ten Tournament Championship

Indiana Men’s Soccer beat Penn State 3-2 in a penalty Kick shootout to win the Big Ten Tournament Championship Saturday night at Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium. The game was 1-1 after 110 minutes and was decided by a penalty kick shootout. The Lions missed the first two and the Hoosiers made the first three. Penn State hit the fourth Penalty Kick and the Hoosiers hit the fourth Penalty Kick. Callum Prichatt hit the post and the ball rolled out giving the Hoosiers the win. Its 3rd straight double for the Hoosiers winning the Big Ten Regular Season and Tournament titles in the same season and 11th overall. The Hoosiers also had 4 straight doubles from 1996-99. Indiana has won 17 Big Ten Regular Season Titles and the team will make its 45th NCAA Tournament Appearance and 34 in a row. The NCAA Tournament Field will be announced today at 12 PM and the Tournament will Start April 29th and all be played in the Cary North Carolina area.

Chris Windom Wins USAC Spring Car Race at Bloomington Speedway.

Chris Windom took the lead on Lap 3 and never looked back as he won the 30 lap Larry Rice Classic USAC race at Bloomington Speedway Friday Night. Windom took the lead from Kyle Cummings after he led the first two laps. Cummings finished 2nd Kyle Thomas Jr was 3rd. It’s the 2nd time Windom has won at Bloomington with the other coming in 2011. Racing will Continue at Bloomington Speedway this Friday night when the Late Model Series pays a visit.

Former Indiana Men’s Basketball Joey Brunk to Transfer to Ohio State   

Former Indiana Men’s Basketball Player Joey Brunk Announced he will Transfer to Ohio State for his sixth and final season.  The 6-11 Brunk missed all of last year with a back injury and was given a sxith year due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Brunk Started at Butler and graduated in 3 years and received his Masters Degree from IU after 2 seasons.  Brunk played one year for current Ohio State coach Chris Holtmann at Butler before Holtmann left for Ohio State.

Indiana Pacers Fall to Atlanta Hawks 129-117

The Indiana Pacers Fell to the Atlanta Hawks 129-117 in Atlanta Sunday Afternoon. The Pacers are 26-30 in the Central Division are 17-14 on the road. The Pacers had five players in double figures with 29 Points from Malcolm Brogdon and 18 points and 14 rebounds from Domas Sabonis. Atlanta was led by Trae Young with 34 points as the Hawks improve to 31-26 and 15-11 at home.  The Pacers Host San Antonio tonight at Bankers Life Fieldhouse with tipoff scheduled for 8 PM
