Indiana Cutters Face Road Test at Fort Wayne Wolverines

Fresh off a 43-0 home opening win against the Quad City Titans. The Indiana Cutters make the long trip to Havenhurst Park in New Haven Indiana to face the Fort Wayne Wolverines at 4 pm tomorrow. “Awesome road test this early in the season to see how we travel and looking forward to the challenge” Head Coach Eric Anderson said. The Cutters dominated last Saturday night 228 yards of offense scoring 3 rushing touchdowns and passing touchdown. The Cutters held the Titans to negative 67 yards rushing 0-5 passing with 2 interceptions. The Defense scored on an interception and fumble return for touchdowns. Special Teams added a field goal in what was a total team effort. The Wolverines are 1-0 after a 32-0 home win last Saturday against the Elkhart Panthers. This will be the 2nd meeting between the two teams with the Cutters getting the win 22-20 in New Haven last season. The Wolverines are 2nd year team and with their rivals the Allen County Lions folding before this season this will be a much deeper Wolverines squad than last season. “Really good team last year, if they added any new players, they will be better and we are expecting a dog fight either way” Anderson said.

Bloomington South Boys Golf Advances to State With 2nd Place Regional Finish

Bloomington South Boys Golf finished 2nd and Shot a Team Score 300 in the Providence Regional at Champions Pointe to Advance to the State Finals next Tuesday and Wednesday at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel. Center Grove won the Regional for the sixth straight year with a 295 Franklin was 3rd with a score of 307 and will advance. Bloomington North scored 338 for 9th place and will not advance. Edgewood Senior Landon Ringler scored a 97 and will not advance. Damon Dickey of Franklin won the Individual Regional Title with a 67.

Indiana-Kentucky All Star Basketball Series This Weekend

The Indiana-Kentucky High School Basketball All Star Series returns with a Girls and Boys Basketball Doubleheader tonight in Owensboro Kentucky and Tomorrow at Southport HS. The Girls beat the Junior All Stars 94-69 and the Boys beat the Indiana Junior All Stars 127-106 at Brownsburg Wednesday Night. Miss Basketball Jayla Smith of Lawrence North led the way with 16 points and she will play at Purdue next season. Blake Wesley from South Bend Riley who is committed to Norte Dame scored 24 Points. Mr. Basketball Caleb Furst of Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian and Trey Kaufman-Renn of Sliver Creek scored 22 points each, they are both headed to Purdue.  2022 Indiana Commit CJ Gunn from Lawrence North scored 6 points on 2-13 shooting from the field and 0-5 from beyond the arc in 23 Minutes of action. Tonight’s Games in Owensboro will Start with the Girls at 6 PM and the Boys at 8 PM. Tomorrow the Girls will play at 5 PM and the Boys to follow at 7 PM and all four games will be broadcast on WNDY-23 in Indianapolis.

Four State Softball Champions to Be Crowned This Weekend

Four High School State Softball Champions will be crowned this weekend as IHSAA State Softball Championships take place at Center Grove HS in Greenwood tonight and tomorrow. Tonight, in Class A at 5:30 PM it will be 19-9 Northfield taking on 22-6 Clay City. The Class 3A Game at 8 PM will be Guerin Catholic 25-2 taking on 20-6 Boonville. Saturday in Class 2A Pioneer 34-2 will take on 28-4 Sullivan at 4:30 PM. The Final Game will be the Class 4A Game between 31-1 Lake Central and 30-2 Indianapolis Roncalli. All Four Games will be broadcast on IHSAA.tv.org via pay-per-view for $ 10 per game or $ 15 for all four games.
