Girls High School Basketball Scores for January 5th
Bedford North Lawrence Beats Bloomington North 80-26. The Cougars are 5-10 and will Host Terre Haute South This Saturday at 1:30 PM.
Bloomington South’s Games this week have been called off due to COVID-19 Issues. The Panthers who are 7-4 on the season were scheduled to play at Brown County Last Night Host Jeffersonville Thursday and Columbus North Saturday.
Edgewood will be in Action tonight when they Host South Putnam at 7:30 PM. Edgewood is 9-6 on the season while South Putnam comes in unbeaten at 9-0.
Lighthouse Christian will be back in action this Friday when they Travel to Shoals for a 6 PM Varsity Only Tip Off. The Lions are 3-11 this season.
IU Football Seniors Returning For Extra Season
Six IU Football Seniors have Announced they will return to the Hoosier Football Program in 2021. The NCAA Gave All Football Athletes and Extra Year of Eligibility Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic this season. Returning to the Hoosiers are Defensive Lineman Michael Ziemba, Defensive Back Raheem Layne, Tight End Khameron Taylor, Defensive Back Marcelino Ball, Offensive Lineman Mackenzie Nworah, and Offensive Lineman Dylan Powell. 8 More Players have yet to make there Decisions.
Tom Allen Named Finalist For Coach Of The Year Award
Indiana Head Football Coach Tom Allen has been Named a finalist for the George Munger College Coach Of The Year Award. Voting Open Tuesday and Eligible Voters Include NCAA Bowl Subdivision head coaches and football sports information news directors, Maxwell Football Club Members and Selected National Media. The Winner will be announced January 19th with the award to be presented at winner’s campus in the spring.
